Meet Emmy Anastasia

B. Emerald Cavoto, known professionally as Emmy Anastasia, is a queer partially blind Latine-American Denver metro-based artist and designer dedicated to weaving whimsy and playfulness into the fabric of everyday life. With a background in Theater Design and Non-Profit Management from Metropolitan State University of Denver, Emerald approaches her work through the lens of storytelling and community impact.

Her artistic journey began at Bethany College, where selling her first painting sparked a lifelong mission to create "art for the chapter you’re in." Whether she is working in vibrant watercolors, dusty chalks, or bold acrylics, her goal remains the same: to brighten a space—be it a nursery, a corporate office, or a personal sanctuary—and remind the viewer that they deserve a life filled with inspiration.

Beyond the canvas, Emerald is a multidisciplinary creator whose portfolio spans murals, digital illustration, theater design and plays, stationery, and apparel. Her work often celebrates nature, color, and the LGBTQIA+ community, reflecting her belief that art should be a tool for public consumption, personal joy, and social advocacy.

She is proud to be an An Art for Our Parks Ambassador, raising money for various non-profits to help protect national lands and wildlife. She is also a 2026 Maker-in-Residence for the Denver Public Library. Her original work can be found in the gallery space at Room for Friends: A Wine Bar!
